Training for quality assurance staff in GSB-certified coating companies, Part 1 (GSB-003-EN)

We share our members’ view that a thorough understanding of the organisational and technical aspects of pretreatment, coating and testing is essential for achieving high-quality results, and we therefore offer a two-part training course.

Please note that separate registration is required for the second part of the course.

The two parts of the course do NOT build on each other thematically, so you are not required to attend both Part 1 and Part 2, nor do you have to attend them in sequence.

In this first part of the training, you will learn about the organizational structure of the GSB and how to fulfil your rights and responsibilities as a quality-responsible employee at a certified GSB member company.
You will also learn which quality seals are available for coating companies and material manufacturers, how they differ, and what testing requirements each seal entails.
The programme is rounded off with an overview of the corrosivity categories for aluminium and steel substrates, in conjunction with the necessary corrosion tests for the individual seal levels.

Our Technical Director, Mr Guido Rohloff, will guide you through the training course, which concludes with a test. The test comprises 10 multiple-choice questions, each with four possible answers, only one of which is correct. The test will be sent to you by email afterwards and must be returned to the GSB office within 24 hours.

Upon successful completion of the test, you will receive a certificate of attendance. Documented attendance fulfils the requirements of the GSB quality guidelines AL 631-1 / GSB ST 663-1, Chapter 7.
