Basics of powder coating in the field of architecture (GSB-006-EN)

The vast majority of components and profiles used in the architectural sector are powder-coated nowadays.
But on which substrates can a coating be successfully applied? What constitutes a good surface for coating? What needs to be taken into account when dealing with complex component geometries? And what exactly is powder coating?

In this event, you will learn about the subtle but significant differences so that you can hold your own in discussions regarding application techniques, types of chemical surface treatment or mechanical surface preparation, pickling and passivation processes, and curing conditions.

The course concludes with a test. The test comprises 10 multiple-choice questions, each with four possible answers, only one of which is correct. The test will be sent by email afterwards and must be returned to the GSB office within 24 hours.instructors.

Upon successful completion of the test, you will receive a certificate of attendance. Documented attendance fulfils the requirements of the GSB quality guidelines AL 631-1 / GSB ST 663-1, Chapter 7.
