Training for quality assurance staff in GSB-certified coating companies, Part 2 (GSB-004-EN)

We share our members’ view that a thorough understanding of the organizational and technical aspects of pretreatment, coating and testing is essential for achieving high-quality results, and we therefore offer a two-part training course.

Please note that separate registration is required for the second part of the course.

The two parts of the course do NOT build on each other thematically, so you are not required to attend both Part 1 and Part 2, nor do you have to attend them in sequence.

This second part of the training course briefly covers the corrosion categories for aluminum and steel substrates and the required corrosion tests, and focuses in particular on the process parameters for chemical pretreatment and coating that are relevant to a GSB-certified coating plant.
You will learn how process parameters influence the chemical properties of the coating and how these affect the physical test methods.
Examining individual test methods using concrete examples will enable you to better understand the interrelationships within a pretreatment and coating plant and to identify dependencies, thereby allowing you to intervene at an early stage to consistently ensure the high coating quality that your customers are rightly entitled to expect from you.

Our Technical Director, Mr Guido Rohloff, will guide you through the training course, which concludes with a test. The test comprises 10 multiple-choice questions, each with four possible answers, only one of which is correct. The test will be sent to you by email afterwards and must be returned to the GSB office within 24 hours.

Upon successful completion of the test, you will receive a certificate of attendance. Documented attendance fulfils the requirements of the GSB quality guidelines AL 631-1 / GSB ST 663-1, Chapter 7.
